IJ Start Canon PIXMA PRO-1 Configuration– PIXMA Pro-1 is the latest and most advanced model in the Canon A3 + printer range. The release of Pro-1, announced in October 2011, was delayed by flooding in Thailand but was just sold locally. Pro-1 uses paints based on LUCIA pigments that dry quickly and have a slight resistance up to 200 years in archives conservation.

With a capacity of around 35 ml, each Pro-1 ink cartridge has 2.5 times more ink than previous models (about 14 ml). All have 12 inks: yellow, cyan, photo, magenta, magenta, red, light gray, gray, dark gray, opaque black and photographic black and a new “Chroma Optimiser”. The latter is like the Gloss Optimiser used by some Epson printers and covers the resin of the paper layer to ensure a smooth and shiny surface.

12 The LUCIA pigment pigmentation system expands the toner with the color saturation and darker black colors that allow a professional photographer to reach a new level of skin tone, precision, and quality, so your prints are exceptional details. Five black and white inks increase the level of professional print quality by creating a dramatic expression of grayscale photography. Furthermore, these new inks are about 2.5 times larger than traditional ink cartridges.

PRO-1 includes a complete set of cassettes. When you install the ink cartridges for the first time on PRO-1, part of the ink from the first toner cartridge is used to prime the printer. The number of sheets to be printed with the first container is less than the number of subsequent cartridges.

To increase workflow, the integrated Ethernet connection allows multiple users to print seamlessly from multiple networked computers in any environment.
